Widget - Project Milestones

Prev Next

The Project Milestones widget offers a summary view of the progress of development periods (Sprints, Releases) for a given project. It allows teams to monitor the status of the current period and quickly access planning tools.

Installation note

This widget can be used on the Personal dashboard and the Project dashboard.

Installation

The configuration of this widget consists of defining which project to monitor.

  • On a Project dashboard: by default, the widget is configured to preselect the current project. You can however modify it to display the milestones of another project (useful for "multi-project" dashboards).

  • On a Personal dashboard: you must select the desired project from the drop-down list.

Content

The widget organizes information chronologically.

1. Roadmap (Future)

The upper section indicates the number of items in the pending project Backlog, and the number of periods planned but not started. Clicking on this section redirects to the project backlog.

2. What’s hot / Recently closed

This is the main section of the widget.

  • Header: the milestone name and its start and end dates.

  • Progress indicators:

    • Time : a progress bar indicating the number of remaining days before the end of the milestone.

    • Effort : a progress bar indicating the remaining effort (in points or hours) compared to total effort.

  • Key metrics:

    • Capacity: the team capacity for this period.

    • Estimated effort: the sum of the initial planned effort.

  • Quick actions:

    • Summary : opens the milestone summary page.

    • Taskboard : direct access to the taskboard associated with the milestone.

    • Tests : direct access to the test campaign associated with this milestone.

By clicking on the chevron or the title of a milestone, the widget expands to display quality and content metrics:

  • Content: a summary by tracker to visualize the milestone content.

  • Test results: if a test campaign is linked to the milestone, an interactive chart (Pie chart) presents the test results.

For recently closed milestones, the header displays key closing indicators:

  • Completed points: the total effort completed.

  • Tests: the total number of tests performed for this milestone.

3. Past (History)

The bottom of the widget lists recently closed milestones (with a summary of completed effort) and offers a link to access the complete history of past periods.
