Prev Next

Training objectives

By the end of this module, you will beable to:

  • Master the fundamentals of Tuleap Program Management™

  • Deploy a SAFe® organization from Tuleap templates

  • Adapt Program Management to other agility frameworks at scale (Scrum of Scrums, hybrid, etc.)

  • Customize the user experience (widgets, dashboards, etc.)

What is Tuleap Program Management™?

Tuleap Program Management is the module that allows you to manage several agile or hybrid teams from a program level.
It automatically connects:

  • the overall backlog of the program (Features),

  • Team backlogs (User Stories)

  • and synchronized schedules (PIs, iterations, sprints).

Each workspace (Program, Team, Portfolio) remains autonomous while being interconnected.

Key concepts

Concept

Description

Workspace

A standalone workspace in Tuleap, with its own trackers, users and dashboards.

Tracker

The heart of the Tuleap system: it structures the artifacts (Features, US, PI, Epics, etc.).

Program Increment (PI)

A planned cycle of the SAFe® train. It includes iterations and associated features.

Feature / User Story

The breakdown of the need between the program level and the teams.

Roadmap / Cross Tracker Search

Widgets that allow visual and transversal control.

The program manager workflow

The Tuleap Program Management™ workflow automatically links the program level and the team level.
It ensures bidirectional traceability between the Features defined at the SAFe® train level and the User Stories developed in each team.

Tuleap Program Management Interface

The workplace programme

The team workspace
