Notifications

In Tuleap Document manager, it is possible to activate specific notifications for each document or folder in order to stay informed of important actions that are carried out there.

Triggering notifications

When we activate the notification for an element (document or folder), Tuleap can notify users when:

  • The creation of a new document in the folder for which notifications have been enabled.

  • Updating a document, such as a change in content or metadata.

  • Moving the document or folder to another location.

Each time an item you are following is modified or new content appears in your data, Tuleap sends a notification if you have checked the box dedicated to this purpose.

Turn on notifications

In the Document Manager interface, when you view a document or folder, you can see a specific action called "Notifications".

Simply check this option to start receiving alerts when any of the events listed above occur.

Manage notifications as a project administrator

As shown in the video above, it is possible for the project administrator to force notifications of documents and folders to members of the same project.

  • User Groups: Force notifications for one or more specific groups as well as the project administrators group if desired.

  • Users: Forces notifications to specific project members.

Reception Mode

Notifications for documents in Tuleap are usually received by email, in accordance with the tool's global notification system.

This means that if we sign up for a notification of a document, Tuleap will send us an email to inform us of a creation or a change.
