Plannings are based on hierarchy. In our default model, Release is the parent of Sprint.
Thus, the first planning displayed under the backlog corresponds to the release planning.
Add a planning level
To add another planning level, a hierarchy level must be added to the already existing planning hierarchy.
Example:
To create a "Week Planning", where sprints can be divided into weeks, you need to create a new Tracker named "Weeks" with the short name "week".
Once created, you will have to modify the hierarchy so that "Weeks" is the child of "Sprints".
Add items to a planning
To add other types of items in the "Release Planning", simply select the tracker from the drop-down menu in the planning management in the Backlog administration.

You can also create a new tracker if needed (e.g. "Marketing Tasks")
Once created, it will appear in the list.

After selecting it, you can then create items of this type directly from the Backlog.

Delete items from plannings
If you want to remove elements from the Release Planning, for example, you simply have to deselect a tracker already selected from the drop-down menu.
Explicit master planning
Understand how it works
The explicit Backlog configuration allows you to choose to create your specifications or User Stories directly from the trackers, without going through the Backlog.
This approach avoids filling the backlog with items that are still incomplete or not a priority.
To do this, simply create your elements in the relevant tracker (Specifications, User Stories, etc.).
These items will not be automatically added to the backlog; The addition is done explicitly .
This behavior is the one used by default.
To add the item to the Backlog, open it and click Add to Backlog on the Actions menu .

To remove the item from the Backlog, open it and click Remove from Backlog on the Actions menu.

Useful Tip
You can disable the explicit scheduling option in the Backlog Administration.
In this case, all newly created items in the trackers associated with the Backlog will be automatically added to it.
