The Document viewer widget allows you to view the content of a document directly on the personal dashboard.
Installation note
This widget can be used on the Personal dashboard and on the Project dashboard.
Currently, only embedded files are fully supported for preview.
Installation
Widget configuration is required when adding it to your dashboard:
Item_id: you must enter the identifier of the document you wish to display. This identifier can be retrieved from the URL displayed when viewing the document from Tuleap (number displayed at the end of the URL).
Content
The widget display varies depending on the nature of the targeted document:
For an embedded file: the document content is displayed directly inside the widget.
For other file types: if the document is not supported for embedded display, the content area will remain empty.
In any case, a [Go to document] link is displayed at the bottom of the widget, allowing you to open the document directly in the document manager interface.
Configuration
In the widget edit window, two editable fields allow you to configure the displayed content:
Title: this field is pre-filled with the filename configured during widget creation. It allows customizing the title displayed in the widget header.
Item_id: this mandatory field expects the document identifier. By modifying this value, you change the file displayed in the widget.
