Display math functions

In a Tracker report, it is also possible to program some mathematical functions on the columns of the tracker reports using the User interface controls for adjusting settings, including plus and dropdown options. at the bottom of the column.

Dropdown menu displaying various statistical functions like Average, Count, and Sum.

For example, in your task tracker you can choose to display the minimum, maximum, average or the sum of the costs of the tasks.

Task management table showing various tasks, their statuses, and remaining effort estimates.

By modifying the default ratio of the tracker these mathematical functions will be seen in the artifact_link field of the parent artifact, as for example in my bug:

Task management overview showing three development tasks with their statuses and assigned individuals.

Add charts

Charts are a reporting rendering tool that allows you to highlight your trackers' data.

There are several types of charts that can be constructed in one or more chart-type tabs.

Options for different chart types including Pie, Bar, and Gantt charts.

To create the graph you must fill in the creation form, to configure:

  • The title of the graph

  • Description

  • The location of the chart in relation to other existing charts

  • Size

  • The data source that will be used to construct the graph

Form for chart properties including title, description, rank, width, height, and source data.

The Pie chart

The pie charts are used to represent the distribution of a "list" (or multiple choice list) field value on all the artifacts of the tracker.

A pie chart showing task repartition with percentages for different statuses.

The bar graph

This type of chart allows you to visualize the distribution of a field grouped by another "list" field value.

Bar chart displaying task severity levels from low to critical impact.

The Gantt

Gantt charts allow us to visualize artifacts over time. To build this kind of graph, it is necessary to have a start date and an end date. This kind of graph is quite well suited to visualizing tasks over time.

The Scrum burndown graph

The burndown will show the remaining effort on an artifact. The vertical axis represents the amount of work, which is the estimated total effort. The horizontal axis represents time based on the start and end dates defined in the milestone.

For more information, see the article on burndown

Graph showing remaining effort versus ideal burndown over several days.

The cumulative flow graph

The cumulative graphs show the distribution of a field's value and its evolution over time.

Cumulative flow chart showing task progress over time with distinct phases.

Add Cadwalls

The Cardwall is a tool that allows artifacts to be viewed and manipulated manually.

Task management board displaying various tasks in different stages of completion.

When creating a new cardwall tab, you must select the field that will be used to create the columns. It is also possible to modify this field in question later.

A checkbox offers the possibility to group the cards in a column, as for example in the "Done" column below.

Task details for installing a steering wheel, including assigned and remaining effort sections.

To configure the information that is displayed on the cards, you must choose which fields are to be displayed. The configuration is done in the tracker's administration area, in the Cards Semantics subsection.

Export search results

You can export your Tracker report in the CSV format, the DOCX format and the XLSX format.

Menu options for exporting data in various formats from a task management interface.

The graphs you built can be exported to dashboards.

Practical information

If you are a project administrator, you can place them on the project dashboards in addition to being able to place them on your personal dashboards.

All charts can be exported using the export buttons.

Charts can be exported individually by clicking on the gear next to each chart.

FAQ

What is the difference between the Cardwall and the Taskboard ?

The Cardwall is a visual representation of a Tuleap Tracker, working like a Kanban-style board. It displays artifacts as cards organized into columns that represent the different steps of a workflow.
The taskboard goes further. It allows multiple trackers to be displayed at the same time by grouping artifacts according to a shared business logic (for example To do, In progress, Done), even if the trackers use different fields or statuses.
