Projects in Tuleap.

The basic unit of Tuleap is the project. It is a workspace with one or more members and various tools.

A project can be public or private.

All public projects are, by default, accessible to all users connected to the platform.

Private projects are only accessible to users identified as members of the project.

From the "Projects..." Diagram illustrating key components of a marketing strategy with highlighted sections. , select the project you want to access. Only projects for which you are a member are displayed in this list.

Public and private projects can be differentiated by the open or closed padlock.

A cogwheel A gear icon representing settings or configuration options in a user interface. on the right-hand side when you hover over the name of a project tells you which projects you are an administrator of.

Finally, to create a new project, click on  Button labeled '+ New' for creating new items or entries in an application. then click on Button to initiate a new project in a user interface design.

The project zone

The project's home page is where you can find the dashboards. Like the personal dashboards, projects also have dashboards.

The project space is divided into several parts:

  • At the top, you will find the name of the project, its visibility (private or public) and its number of members.

  • The left part in gray that folds (thanks to the gray arrow) contains the tools (services) activated in the project.

Project dashboards are organized by tabs and arranged alphabetically.

The administrator can create as many as they want. They are used and configured in the same way as personal dashboards.

Warning

Only project administrators can configure dashboards.

Here are two examples of how to use project dashboards:

Here, a single dashboard is used for the entire project. It gathers all the essential information for its members in one place.

The second use is a little different. All members have a general dashboard, and more dashboards have been added, each designed specifically for a specific role.
In this way, information is centralized and organized according to the responsibilities of each role.

Each widget that makes up the dashboard can be folded, moved, or deleted.  There are many widgets organized by type of service that allow you to display different types of information according to your needs (statistics, results reports, etc.).

Some widgets are quite practical for project tracking, for example:

Heartbeat widget: Displays the most recently manipulated items at the project level

Cross Tracker Search widget: Allows you to search in different trackers by applying selection criteria
